Carleton University was thehost of the 57th, annual Canada-Wide Science Fair for the 2018 year. Over 500 young scientists from across Canada were present at the fair with projects focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
St-Laurent Academy is thrilled and proud to announce that Lief, grade 11 student, was a silver medal winner for his project on Using High Temperature Superconductors in the Search for Life on Enceladus! Lief was awarded a $10,500 scholarship for his post-secondary studies. Congratulations, Lief!

Founded in 2005, St-Laurent Academy offers students a truly international educational experience. Our philosophy to education is built on a hands-on, diversified approach that strongly incorporates physical activity and experiential learning. Our goal is to meet individual needs of each learner. We provide a student-teacher ratio of 15:1 in all core subjects, allowing differentiation and individual attention for each learner.
We are located at 641 Sladen Avenue, directly off St-Laurent Blvd. We are easily accessible from downtown Ottawa, Rockcliffe and Hunt Club Park. Our main campus has the facilities to meet all the needs and demands of today’s rapidly changing education system. Our main location is centrally located in Ottawa’s Rideau-Rockliffe ward, surrounded by the neighborhoods of Manor Park, Beacon Hill, Rothwell Heights, Cardinal Heights, and Montfort, we have everything in place to help each student discover his or her unique path.
