Nothing but good things to say about SLA. The Principal (Gr 6-8) is a firm, fair and caring person, who is always willing to speak with parents about issues, and takes action to address them. The teachers make real effort to adapt their teaching to the needs of each child, even ones with special needs (small classes help). His teacher always responds promptly to messages, with thoughtful, helpful ideas. They teach the kids how to study for exams (something public schools do not), but reduce stress by not having the grades count (in Gr. 6). And the frequent field trips and outings add fun and adventure to the class learning. We have found all the staff to be very responsive and understanding. I highly recommend it.

The specialty teachers are exceptional. We have been so impressed with the science program, music program and art. To hear a 4 or 5 year old describing the solar system in detail is quite something. The specialty teachers excel in their respective subject matter and are excellent at their jobs. With the support of the fluently bilingual and very dedicated Kindergarten teacher team, the French language is encouraged and supported even in classes where the predominant language is English.I cannot say enough about St-Laurent Academy. My daughter has been attending for about three and a half years and I feel so fortunate that she is in such an encouraging, supportive and most important challenging environment. The teachers are exceptional, the administration responsive and the resource support go "above and beyond" to ensure both the mental health and academic are appropriately balanced. This school is the real deal and gets it right.

I have nothing but positive things to say about St Laurent Academy. The school is just amazing. The staff and teachers take their time to meet with you and pinpoint your specific needs for your children. Communication was very important to us as my child has ASD. They answered emails quickly and with great detail, as well as face to face discussion on pickup. The school offers a very diverse school curriculum as well as so many extra opportunities for the children such as daily PE classes, French Immersion, Many offsite field trips, and also Spirit week activities. We were very sad to leave once our posting ended and moved back to Australia. Fully recommend! x

Such a lovely school! Great programs, awesome field trips and WONDERFUL staff. Both our girls have had multiple teachers throughout the year (subject teachers) - all great. We are entering our 2nd year at St.Laurent Academy. Only positive things to say. Small class sizes for academics is amazing, but they still get lots of opportunities to make more friends when they have recess/gym and field trips with the same age group. (example 4A &4B ) Ms.Long is the BEST, & their admin Ms. Crupi is so lovely.

We had a wonderful experience at St Laurent Academy. First of all bullying is not tolerated. 0 tolerance. My children loved the school and woke up eager to attend. I find the leadership fair but firm and they encourage children and parents to talk to them. They have an open door policy. We had to call a few times over the years and we found that leadership takes the time to listen before they interject and always respond promptly. As far as the education? If test scores are an indicator then the education received is top notch and very competitive. My favourite part is that our children were exposed to many growth opportunities from athletics to nature education in the forest, to ski trips and much more. All done in a safe and well managed environment. St Laurent Academy helped my children succeed while providing a safe and nurturing environment.
