SLA has many great features, the most important of which for us are the staff and the sports programming. We feel extremely fortunate that our daughter has had the opportunity to be taught by such warm, capable, and enthusiastic teachers. We also think the sports programming is exceptional. The specialty teachers are exceptional. We have been so impressed with the science program, music program and art. To hear a 4 or 5 year old describing the solar system in detail is quite something. The specialty teachers excel in their respective subject matter and are excellent at their jobs. With the support of the fluently bilingual and very dedicated Kindergarten teacher team, the French language is encouraged and supported even in classes where the predominant language is English.

The Academy exposes children to a wide variety of experiences. The staff is also very receptive to the suggestions of parents. The fact that the Academy offers year-round programming is also a definite asset to working parents.

St-Laurent Academy is a wonderful school. The school is bright and cheery with lots of windows and natural light. There is a large city park adjacent where the kids can play and physical activity is highly encouraged. It is small, the teachers and administration know all of the kids by name and there is good interaction between the younger and older students, who all look out for each other. I am constantly impressed by the little things like having the older kids hold doors open in the hall for other students and for the adults coming through. Students are well behaved and show respect for others.
