Mr. Bill Kokkaliaris – CEO & School Director


Mr. Kokkaliaris is the CEO and School Director of St-Laurent Academy. He oversees the Daycare, Elementary, and High School Programs.

Our Daycare Supervisors, Elementary and High School teachers report to Mr. Kokkaliaris. Mr. Kokkaliaris also chairs our Leadership Team whom he depends on for curriculum oversight, student success, business operations, and marketing and communications.

Mr. Kokkaliaris prides himself in ensuring that he is meeting with each family on their orientation date to welcome them and introduce our school to perspective candidates. Mr. Kokkaliaris, oversees all Main Location School Admissions (Kindergarten – Grade 12)

Bill Kokkaliaris has a highly regarded success record working with faculty, parents, and children since 2005. A dedicated parent of three, and a committed educator, he is appreciated for his hands-on leadership, and responsiveness. Mr. Kokkaliaris consistently encourages the engagement of staff and parents to maximize student involvement and learning. Mr. Kokkaliaris’ core values of life-long learning and his entrepreneurial spirit guide St-Laurent Academy’s vision to supports enriched academic learning, athletic skills, personalized learning, and creativity.

In the spring of 2015, Mr. Kokkaliaris completed the Private School Principals Program, at York University, Faculty of Education.

Ms. Andrea Crupi, Director of Administration, Communication, Admissions Liaison

Ms. Crupi is responsible for introducing prospective families to St-Laurent Academy, and oversees the application process for new students under the guidance of the School Principal. All orientations, communications, student visits, and offer of admissions are communicated through Ms. Crupi.
When not interacting with students, parents, and colleagues, Ms. Crupi heads all fundraising initiatives and supports in student admissions as required.

Upon completion of her Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa, Ms. Crupi graduated with honours from Trent University with a Degree in Primary/ Junior Education. She maintains her teaching certification and is actively involved with the students at St-Laurent Academy; often leading Clubs or Camps. Ms. Crupi brings extensive knowledge and experience in planning, organizing and implementing educational and fun programs for children of all ages.

Ms. Crupi has been with St-Laurent Academy for over 4 years.

Mrs. Moira Holmes, Academic Director & Director of Finance

Moira is a member of the Management Team and is responsible to the School Director for raising student achievement, and maintaining quality teaching and learning across the school in accordance with the Academy’s plan, vision, mission and values. Through ongoing communication and collaboration with teachers she will foster a supportive environment, which will encourage staff and students to reach their full potential.

As the Finance Director, Moira is responsible for the financial matters pertaining to both the Daycare and to the Elementary school.

Moira Holmes joined St-Laurent Academy in 2007 and in 2008 was appointed Director of Finance and Administration.

Ms. Holmes has over 30 years of experience in the field of Education and Administration, graduating from Hamilton College of Education (Strathclyde University), in Scotland, majoring in Primary Education.

She has taught in International schools in Ethiopia, Israel, Ghana and Zambia as well as several Independent schools in Ottawa.

Mr. MacNeil, Director of Student Success

Andrew Pic

As Director of Student Success, he oversees school discipline which includes long-range planning of preventative measures, as well as working with individual students and families as necessary. Mr. MacNeil provides support for students in all areas, and regularly communicates with staff and parents on student development.

Mr. MacNeil is also the Head of our Athletics Program teaching Physical Education classes and leads our extra-curricular sports teams which participate in league and tournament play within the Ottawa Independent Schools Athletics Association (OISAA).

Mr. MacNeil has worked with children in Canada, the US and the UK within public, separate and private schools. He has taught every grade from K-12 in subjects such as Physical Education, History, Politics, and Geography. Mr. MacNeil also garnered great organizational and team building skills while in the role of Head Counselor, overseeing a sport camp’s day to day running for several years.

As a member of our Leadership Team, Mr. MacNeil informs school initiatives and vision.

Mrs. Alsace Abboud, Daycare Director

Mrs. Abboud oversees the daily operations of our Daycare Program at our main campus for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers. She is responsible for ensuring that our program is adhering to all aspects of the Day Nurseries Act, and coordinates staffing levels based on program ratios. Mrs. Abboud ensures all health & safety standards outlined by The Ministry of Education and Ottawa Public Health are met. Mrs. Abboud liases will all of our daycare families to ensure smooth transitions for our youngest students.

Mrs. Abboud, also oversees all Main Location Daycare orientations.
